Christmas

So.... Yeah, this post is a little late, but I guess better late than never!!

So this was the first christmas that Mike and I had together. And we went home to my parents. On Christmas Eve we all got matching superman jammies. The glow-in-the-dark on Mike's shirt is so intense! Just in a shadow you can see it glow!

But he loves the jammies and being part of the fam :)
If you look close at Brody's head, you can see a pair of antlers on his head. Though in the picture Brody doesn't look to happy in his antlers. It was easier when he was looking at me and I had a treat right in front of him. He's not as big of fan when he can't see me, so he looks grumpy :(

Then when Mike and I got back to Laramie the night of Christmas Day, we had our first Christmas dinner. So looking through the fridge, we decided the two things that we were the most hungry for.

Yep, fried SPAM and Pigs in a Blanket :)
We were both very happy and satisfied with this delicious meal (as crazy as that sounds...)

Different Video

So that last video just didn't give these two justice. Sometimes it just seems that when they see the camera they settle down and just stare at me. This one really shows how crazy this kitty is and how patient Brody is with all her oboxiousness

My two cuties

So here are some more pictures of Brody and Malibou. Thought you guys would enjoy some of these because they are just so cute!

And I even added in a video of the two of them playing

My favorite part is seeing how good Brody is with her

This last picture I just love. This is the field just right outside my back door that I take Brody out and let him run and play. Mike took this picture from the back steps of the trailer.

The other thing I LOVE about this picture is that it looks like Brody just walks right next to me off leash :)

Brody and Malibou

So these two little guys are getting along quite wonderfully which makes me sooooooo happy :) :)
One really cute thing between them is that Malibou does not like drinking out of her water bowl, but will run all the way over to Brody's and drink out of it pretty much every time. Its really adorable :)

The two of them will occasionaly cuddle up together which is also really cute.

But the funniest is when Brody had fallen asleep and then shifted, completely forgetting that Malibou was cuddled up with him and next we just hear her mowling and Brody still oblivious and dead asleep. He's still learning.

Announcing my new little Malibou :)

So craziest thing happened today. My soon to be Sister-in-Law just got a kitten last week and it turns out that her little girl Ivy (who is 3) is SUPER allergic and got an infection and it was so sad. So anyways, they were going to give this little kitty to the pound when my roomie Nicki said that we could take her. Soooooooooo now I have a little kitty! Her name is Malibou and she is only 9 weeks old and teeny tiny!

If you look on the dusty shelf above her you to the left you can make out one of Brody's paw prints. HUGE next to her :)

Her and Brody are still kinda working the kinks out. Brody just wants to tackle and play with her and she is not quite up for that yet. So he does manage to sit there and just watch her, though I know if I wasn't there he probably wouldn't be so controlled. Until she gets a little bigger, they will probably both be crated while we are gone.

and p.s. the reason that the blinds in my last post go from horrid to fabulous is because Mike was amazing and installed the new blinds between the pictures, and as you can see, those old ones just HAD to go! He's just so good to me :) :)

My little baby is growing up :)

Here is an adorable picture with Mike and Brody cuddling, watching TV. And Brody is just getting so BIG!! I figure he is pretty much full grown with just a bit more to fill in. Of course, I said this a few months ago and he kept getting taller so..... I am pretty sure this is about it.

So around my trailer park there are at least 7 stray cats around that I've seen. And since my porch railing goes right up to the window, the cats love to walk around it and then just sit there and look inside. Brody is hysterical with this cuz he sneaks up to the window and just stares at them the WHOLE time they sit there. Mike and I just laugh and can't help but take tons of pictures.

Then the other day we went down to the river since the weather has been gorgeous lately! Like abot 60 degrees every day. It's soooooo fabulous. But down at the river things were very muddy and I decided to jump in with him and we both came back home very very very muddy. This is Brody just at the begining of playing in the mud, needed to put the camera away for obvious reasons. It was a great afternoon :) :)

Video of the Sting Rays

So I thought that I needed to add in the video that MIke took of me attempting to feed the Sting Rays. It really was a lot of fun, but I think I needed somebody holding my arm in the water like some of the workers were doing for the little kids. Mike was enjoying laughing at me too much to help :) :)

This was definintely a Fabulous day :) :) :) :)

Saturday Birthday

Because of Mike's crazy work schedule, we were just now able to spend some time together to celebrate my birthday. On Saturday we spent the day down in Denver and got to do several fabulous things :) We started off at the Aquarium. One way that anyone can tell that Mike is Amazing is that he spent four and a half hours in there with me, letting me wander through about four times. He even got me lunch there, which was so delicious.

This is me attempting to feed the stingrays. Its a bit shaky because Mike was laughing so hard at me jumping and squealing as the stingrays were eating the fish from my hand :)

So this picture of these three tigers might seem out of place. But no, in the Denver Aquarium they actually have a tiger exhibit. The water surrounding it is pretty cool cuz it has some really gorgeous fish in it.

Next on our exciting list was to go to the Butterfly Pavillion. They had lots of cool bugs there. This first picture was the creepiest spider by far.

And then I finally remembered the best setting for taking pictures that are really close up and so these next ones have a very good focus and I really really liked them :)

We concluded our day by eating at the ESPN Sportscenter. Which Mike described as a Chuckie Cheese for big kids. And it definately was! There were tons and tons of TVs, all with different sports channels on. And then after dinner we went and played tons of fun games, like little bowling games and motorcycle and NASCAR racing. The BEST part was when we played Basketball and I beat him by like 15 baskets! And then with Football and throwing the ball to the "players" I beat him 10 to 1!!! I plan on rubbing this in his face for a very very very long time :) :) :) :)

Memory of the Rat Dog

I found some really cute pictures on my computer of maggie, our little rat dog. :)

This is her at six weeks old and only weighing two pounds.

And here she is wearing a little blue parka that I bought her :)

And here is a cute video of Jackson and Maggie when Jackson went to stay with Grandma for a week last summer. It was taken with a cell phone so the quality isn't perfectly amazing, but its such a cute video :)

New Jobs!

So I was unemployed for about two weeks and not quite sure what to do. I was ready to start applying at Fast Food Restaurants cuz I hate being unemployed. And having a payheck coming in is pretty nice. So out of the blue last Monday a job that I had almost given up on calls me up and striaght offers me the job after reading my resume, don't even have to come in for an interview :) So now I waitress out at Terry Bison Ranch, which is over on the outskirts of Cheyenne. And even though I have to drive fifty miles to get to work, after paying for gas I am still making more than when I worked at Safeway! And waitressing is actually a lot of fun and I am really enjoying it :)
Now for job number 2. Friday I got called up that the Assistant Manager at Dollar Tree put in her two weeks and that they want me to do it. I told them I can start after Frontier Days (because waitressing is ridiculously crzy right now!)
Now the waitressing job is only through the start of school so this Assistant Manager job will be through school and most likely until I move away from Laramie.

Hooray for having JOBS! :) :) :)

Home Again

Mike and I got the opportunity to spend a couple days up in Worland. It was tons of fun!

Tuesday:
Got to Worland about four in the afternoon. Had a delicious dinner of Tri-tip and then spent the rest of the evening playing Ticket to Ride :) Kaytee managed to win EVERYTIME that night!!

Wednesday:
We started off with a traditional Croft breakfast that was all new to Mike and had Dutch Baby. It was amazingly delicious. If I'm cooking, its mainly dinner, so it was so nice to have all these fancy breakfasts :)
Then we headed out to check out places for the Croft-Chapman Wedding :) First stop was at the TenSleep golf course. It did have some kinda pretty places, but Mike and I had decided that this really wasn't what we were looking for. It also had TONS of deerflies that kept biting!! OW!!
Then, the guy who was showing us around asked if we wanted to take the golf carts to see other parts of the course :) Didn't matter we had decided against it, we wanted to ride those golf carts. Kaytee even got to drive one!

Though the course was a bit bumpy, so the entire time wasn't this perfect little smile. I caught mom at the best time in this next picture.

That was about it for the golf course, though the golf carts were fun, it was not where we wanted to get married. We looked at a couple other places but none of them was really what I was thinking.
Finally, we stumbled onto the perfect place, without even planning on it.

I love how these trees just bend over and make the perfect natural arch! And the grounds are so green and gorgeous and well kept, and the bugs were even at a minimum.

Now I know your asking yourself where this gorgeous place could be. Well, here's a hint....

The Fish Hatchery! I know it seems weird, but as you can see from those previous pictures that it is so pretty. Only problem is that we are not sure that we can have a wedding there, so mom is looking into it since she knows the wife of the guy who runs the place. So hopefully its ok.
So after discovering the place to have the wedding, we went back to Worland, took naps and then headed out to a Bi-Ward dinner, so Mike really got to meet everybody!! Then we went to see the movie Wall-e, which is totally worth it and I think everyone should go!!

Thursday:
Started out with another fabulous breakfast, and then Mike taught Kaytee how to change a flat tire that was on the Suzuki. We are getting it all fixed up so that Kaytee can cruise around in it :)

What a good big brother he is going to be! Makes me so happy :) :)

So now the Suzuki is in the shop getting the tire all fixed up (And the muffler!)
Now we take some good time to relax. Mike and I want to play Ticket to Ride again so we drag it out during lunch. However, Kaytee does not win this time, but Mike does! He's very excited and convinced that since he is on a winning streak he is done for the day. So we head down to Lander for the best fireworks ever!

Now this next shot is no joke. He had the whole sky lit up and just solid with these fireworks! It was so cool :)

Friday:
Started out with delicious Breakfast Burritos with Grandma and Ralph joining us as well. Then we pack up and head home back to Laramie.

It was a really fun trip and I am so glad that Mike and I got to spend time up in Worland :) :) :)

Crazy Job Announcement

So I quit Safeway!! This is a very exciting time because I really didn't like it there, so don't be sad for me :)

There are some job opportunities that I am looking at. I had a job interview at Kmart on Tuesday and don't know how fabulous it went. It wasn't like BAM! This is perfect. And it would only be about an average of twenty hours a week, and I'm not sure on the pay, I have to call them back on Thursday to see what they have decided.
However I just had the Dollar Tree store manager ask me again to be an Assistant Manager there. It's only part-time at twelve hours a week, but it's thirteen dollars an hour and will look good on a resume.

So yeah, there's a little bit of info on my current job situation. We will just see where things will go with this whole adventure :)

and p.s. congrats to Cass for creating a blog :) :)

He asked!!!

Guess what?!?!?! Mike popped the question! It is so romantic and so wonderful :) :) :) So now I bet your all asking how he did it that was so wonderful.

We were up at his Uncle's rehearsal wedding which was up in a canyon around Salt Lake. I think it was called Mills Canyon. So it is up in the mountains and everything is just green and gorgeous.

We were up around this pond that had a creek running by it and a waterfall in the background. I see a bunch of little rocks around and decided to show off my rock skipping skills, well tried to at least. And no matter what he tells you, I really do know how to skip rocks!!

I know this next picture is a little blury, but it captures THE MOMENT!

I turned around to pick up another handful of rocks and there he was, down on one knee :) :) :) He didn't even get a chance to ask! I practically tackled him in a hug, so he knew pretty well that it was a yes. This picture looks like I stopped or something, but no, I tackled him completely.

His family was across the pond and they all started whoopin and hollerin when they saw me hug him. And I hadn't even noticed, but his mom had been stalking us with the camera so she got pictures of the whole thing! I love looking at them :)

So yep, I am now engaged, which makes me feel pretty special. Here is my gorgeous ring that I am completely in love with.

Sometime around the end of next May is when we are planning the wedding, and his dad is a pastor and going to be the one doing the ceremony. And one of the BEST parts is that Jami said she would make our cake! Lucky Us!!!

Tragedy Strikes!!

Today was a very very sad day :( I was out walking Brody down by the river like I always do and to try to convince him to come into the water I had walked in to up to my knees almost. He actually came in to come to me!! I was so excited that I pulled my phone out to take a picture (Forgetting that I am knee deep in river water) Of course!! I drop the phone into the water and now.... NOTHING! Just turns on to a white screen! This is horrid! So know I have no phone numbers... NOTHING! So if anybody wants to give me their number that would be great. AND since it is Memorial Day Weekend I don't think I can get another phone till Tuesday at the earliest.

Isn't it just tragic!!

Trip Home

Holy Cow!

I hadn't realized how long it has been since I last posted. Time is just flying by right now! I am taking summer school and also working so my days are busy busy busy.

I wish I could be more like Brody!

Here he is just lounging in the sunlight. He loves to find the spot of sun and take naps in it.

So a little bit ago I managed to find time to go home and visit the fam and also attend Auntie Jo Ann's funeral. It was so an extremely nice funeral and I know she would have loved it. Especially with all the family together.

Here are some of the cousins playing Tile Rummy of course!! I played the game earlier in the night and of course I won :)

Another special thing was that Jo Ann wanted all of us to have one of her rings to always remember her by.

This one is Turqiouse and always makes me think of both her and Grandma Roma because of hom much they both loved and wore turquiose. I found a picture of Jo with me at my High School graduation and by looking really close I can see this ring on her finger.

So that is just a little update for now. Hopefully I won't wait anywhere near as long to post again!!
