Puppy Kindegarten

Today was the second day of Puppy Kindegarten for Brody. There are lots of crazy puppies and lots of not so crazy one there that he gets to play with. Half of the hour long session is play time and the other half is lessons where I learn how to train him. He gets TONS of treats at these times. Today he even got a big piece of rawhide to take home!

And if you didn't notice in that first picture, here is another one to point out how HUGE his ears are getting! Whenever he puts his head down they drag on the ground, which is so cute!

Oh No!

Uh-oh!! I have discovered an allergy of mine and its horrible! I am allerigc to the handwashing soap back inthe deli! My arms are bright red up to about an inch from my elbow since that is as far as I scrub every day. And since I have to scrub TONS every day, its just getting worse. Another girl I work with is also allergic and so now I am doing what she is, taking a bunch of Benadryl everyday that I work. I tried to take a picture to show you the fun redness, but it was just washing out. So yeah, bright red, chapped and itchy arms. not much fun :(

Since I couldn't get a picture of that, instead I will show you another picture of Brody! Surprise!!

This is Brody with his little stuffed duck. He LOVES this thing! I love playing fetch with this for two reasons. 1) He is looks sooooo cute carrying it around and 2) he 99% of the time brings it back! Which makes fetch TONS easier!

First Date

Last night Mike and I had our first real date! We were going to wait a bit after I quit but instead he decided that he couldn't wait so we went out for dinner last night at Wingers. It was really fun! And it was so wonderful that we got to go on a date here in Laramie!

Kind of along the same lines, my new job is going really well. However, we are extremely busy in the deli. Another person just quit this week so now there are only four of us total! For the entire deli! And one of which (yours truly) is not yet ready to be left alone. It sucks cuz we have to shut down the deli at 5 every night to havce it cleaned when we go home at 6, but there isn't really any other way! But I am having lots of fun working there. The one big problem is that I love cheese. And Safeway has lots and lots of delicious imported cheeses. And of course, we have samples in the deli for the customers and I have to try all the samples so I can tell the customers about each one. So it ends up that I am buying a fancy cheese every shift so far. But they are so GOOD! My last purchase is an Aged Cheddar that was imported from Ireland. Mmmmmmmmmmmmm

Last but not least is one of the most amazing things ever! Brody is pretty much completely housetrained!!! YAY!!! He has about one accident a day in the house (Compared to his twenty or so before, this is wonderful). I just have to pay attention cuz he will go to the door, stare at it and sit down. So if I don't see it in the first twenty seconds, he can't wait any more and piddles there. But there is tile there so it is at elast easy to clean up. But that doesn't matter cuz he is still going to the door! Its fabulous!!!

Crazily enough, this isn't Brody stretching! I came into my room and he was dead asleep in this position!

Safeway

I finally got a new job! On Monday I start working in the Deli at Safeway :) But I have like 16 hours of Computer Based Training that I have to complete before I can do the Deli, so sometime between now and Monday I am going to squeeze that in while I am still working at Wal-Mart. Apparently I didn't think my life was hectic enough, so this should help. Now it is a 50 cent paycut, but Safeway has merit raises instead of the once a year raise that I am getting now, so I am hoping that I will be able to earn those and make up the difference in pay.
Also, Brody has his first Vet Appointment tomorrow to get him all checked out and see when he gets his next round of shots. I am hoping that this will be a good experience for him. Today was gorgeous with practically no wind so we walked to the park and ran around a bit. He still isn't a huge fan of walks, but I am sure that will change.

More Pictures of Brody (Of Course!)

Well Brody is adjusting into our little household. Him and Measure get along much better than they did the first day. She is getting better at sharing her toys with him and he has even figured out how to pick up the tennis ball she keeps rolling at him and how to tug-o-war with her. Whenever he is getting too rambunctious I just hand him to Measure and she will wear him out!

Here he is all snuggled up to Measure during one of his five naps during the day. This was NOT her idea! But she got used to it after Jezzy and I held her there and convinced her it was ok.

Mike and Brody are getting along great. Brody just loves to snuggle up with him, especially down by Mike's feet, which is hysterical because Mike's size 15 foot is the same size as Brody.

Ta Da!

Here he is! These are a couple of photos that I was able to take so far. He is sooo adorable! Though at the moment his eyes are a little greenish-blue, they will eventually turn brown to match his the rest of him.

Here he and Jezzy are out on some grass playing after going potty. He was very good and didn't go potty in the car the whole trip! Everytime he woke up we would pull over and put him out on the grass and he would go. Even once we got home and he was playing for awhile, once I took him outside and put him down he went potty. So far so good!

Here he is all bedded down for the night in his crate. He has his little stuffed dog to snuggle with, and it's cute to see him play with it since at the moment it is bigger than he is!

Soon enough I will take bunches and bunches more pictures of him so you can see even more how amazing Brody is :)
